This episode was sponsored by my new favorite tool, "Video Skins", at http://rachelrofe.com/vs Tony Stubblebine is a very impressive guy. His company, Coach.me (formerly Lift) has been backed by Tony Robbins, Tim Ferriss, both co-founders of Twitter, and has hundreds of thousands of members. We had such a great conversation that covered so much ground that I ended up breaking our talk up into 2 parts. In Part 1 we go over: - What the #1 biggest factor is when trying to reach goals - What Tony says is the key to stress management - How "priority framing" helps you get a lot more done every day - The importance of meditation as a performance practice (not necessarily for spirituality, but for business) - How to cope with a lack of motivation ...and a bit more about how Tony's been able to grow his business into the successful company it is today. This episode was sponsored by my new favorite tool, "Video Skins", at http://rachelrofe.com/vs Today marks the 100th episode of A Better Life Podcast. And to switch it up, I’ve invited one of my favorite people on the planet, Kit Murray Maloney of O’Actually, to interview me! Kit did a great job and asked me some awesome questions. Some of the things we cover are: – The intention behind A Better Life podcast and why it means so much to me – How you can choose to find breakthroughs even when you feel powerless – The importance of establishing boundaries when it comes to your time and generosity – My two-step process for moving away from misery towards courage – Why you don’t need to ‘save’ people in your life (and why it’s delusional to think you can) …and a bit more about the power of asking for exactly what you need in the moment, no matter how indulgent it may seem. This was a fun episode to record, and I’m so grateful for your listening and being a part of A Better Life. I originally became very interested in learning how to incorporate more exercise into your day when I read how harmful sitting for 8 hours a day is, even if you spend an hour a day at the gym. Since I learned about that, I’ve done all kinds of things to get in as much movement as possible. I’m proud to say that I now average walking 8 miles a day. In this post I’m going to share exactly how I do that, plus how you can fit exercise into a packed-to-the-brim schedule. #1: If you can get a treadmill desk, get one. Links: http://rachelrofe.com/treadmill http://rachelrofe.com/deskbike #2: Reward yourself with walks. #3: Pace. Links: http://rachelrofe.com/5-things-i-track-in-my-business-every-single-day http://rachelrofe.com/fitbit
#5: Do 7 minute workouts. #6: Schedule your exercise classes. Bonus: tell your friends about them. #7: Incorporate it into your morning routine. http://rachelrofe.com/hal-elrod-on-exactly-how-to-go-from-deeply-depressed-to-living-a-thriving-life http://rachelrofe.com/break-bad-habits-and-bring-in-good-ones-with-steve-scott-part-1 You can find this in blog format right here: http://rachelrofe.com/how-you-can-fit-exercise-into-a-crazy-busy-work-day The episode was sponsored by my “Done For You Amazon Bestseller” program at http://www.rachelrofe.com/bestseller. |

Today's episode is slightly different from my usual podcasts. My guest today, Laura Yamin, is happily employed in a regular 9-5 job and doesn't want to be a full-time entrepreneur. We talk about: - How to get paid what you want to get paid (with practical action steps) - Why you need to be clear about what you want - How trusting your intuition can help you realize your dreams, no matter how much of a stretch they may seem - Why job hunting is like "defense dating" and how you can find the cream of the crop - Why healthy boundaries at work are a must and the key phrase to say in order to successfully set them - The mindset shift you need to make updating your resume and talking with recruiters fun and empowering tasks ...and a bit more about the importance of learning to say "no" at least 5 times a day.
